Well that's all for now and enjoy the show! ^_^*****)

WuFei sat in his English class, looking at the empty seat next to him, 'Kirei, where are you?' he thought.

"Mr. Chang?"

'This doesn't seem right. She's never been absent or late.'

"Mr. Chang."

'I will have to go to her house and check on her after school. I just hope nothing's to terribly wrong with her.. .'

"Mr. Chang!!"

"What?!?!" he looked up at the teacher, her brown eyes glaring into his onyx ones.

"I'm not even going to ask. Just pay attention." She turned back to the black board.

"Whatever you say, you damn onna.. ." he muttered.

"I heard that! WuFei, you just earned yourself a day of detention."

"Well excuse me for having more important things on my mind than listening to your meaningless drivel!"

"Make that two days!!"

"I'd rather die."

"Go to the principal's office. Now!"

The black haired pilot picked up his stuff and glared at the women at the head of the room, "Well at least the principal might have more brains than you!" with that, he walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him.

He sat in the principal's office for about 10 minutes before the door opened and a man walked in. He sat behind his desk and looked at the Chinese boy, "WuFei, you have never caused any kind of trouble before, why start now?"

"Kirei Tenshi is not here."

"You find that odd?"

"Yes. She's never absent and never late."

"You're worried."

"I have a right to be."

"I know you've been helping her with her work, but.. ."

"This goes beyond that of me being her tutor. I'm her friend."

"Were you going to talk to her?"

"I was planning to go right after school, but Miss I've got a stick up my ass, gave me detention!"

The man looked at his watch, then back at WuFei, "School's almost out. Why don't you leave early."

"What?"

"You can't seem to concentrate on much and I'll admit I'm worried about her too. And I'll have Miss Mizu relieve you of your detention. All right?"

The Shenlong pilot stood up and bowed, "Thank you." Then he picked up his stuff and left the school grounds.

The black haired pilot walked for 15 minutes and stood on Kirei's doorstep. He sighed and knocked on the door. He waited a minute, but got no answer. He tried again, the door opened and a women that was in her mid 30s, black hair and blue eyes looked at WuFei in pure sorrow.

"WuFei.. ."

"Miss Tenshi? What's wrong?"

"It's Kirei.. ."

"Kirei? What about her? Is she all right?"

"She's.. . she's.. ."

"She's what?"

"Dead.. ." that final word sent her into her river of tears once again.

"What do you mean dead?"

"Come in and I'll explain.. ." she led him into the house and they sat down on the couch. She looked into his eyes, "She and two of her friends went out for her 17th birthday. They went to dinner and from what her friends say, they went to the bathroom and left my daughter at the table and when they came back she was gone.. ."

"Did she leave?"

"That's what some of the customers said. She might have been looking for the bathroom."

"But how do you know she's dead?"

"When she didn't come home that night, I called the police and they began the search immediately. The next day they found nothing that's when OZ got involved.. ."

'OZ?'

"They found her body earlier this morning.. . her body was too mangled to be shown, but they ran a DNA test and saw that it was her.. ."

"No.. ."

"And the worst part is that she never got a chance to tell you how she felt.. ."

"When's the funeral?"

"Tomorrow afternoon. You and your four friends are welcome. I know that she would have wanted you five there to say good bye."

"We'll be there, I promise."

"I'll email the directions to the cemetery to you."

"Okay. Are you going to be all right?"

"In time."

He nodded and stood up. He bowed and then left. The walk was only supposed to take 45 minutes to return to the safe house, but he decided to take a walk to clear his head. Thick, gray clouds covered the sky as small rain droplets came down. The Chinese boy wondered through the park and up and down the down town streets. The rain came down harder and harder, when he arrived back at the safe house it was two hours later.

He threw his bag onto the floor and walked up the stairs. He entered his room, shut the door and put his left hand into a fist, "Why? Why did this have to happen? Why is this war taking everything from me?!?!?!" he took his shaking fist and made contact with the wall, causing a large hole to form, "Damn it. Damn it! DAMN!!!!!!!!!"
