In my hometown
For anyone who sticks around
You're either lost or you're found
There's not much in between

In my hometown
Everything's still black and white
It's a long long way from wrong to right
From Sunday morning to Saturday night

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We're all looking for love and meaning in our lives
We follow the roads that lead us
To drugs or Jesus
My whole life
I tried to run I've tried to hide
From the stained glass windows in my mind
Refusing to let God's light shine down on me
Down on me

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We're all looking for love and meaning in our lives
There's not much space between us
Drugs or Jesus
Everybody wants acceptance
We all just want some proof
Everyone's just looking for the truth

Everybody just wants to get high
Sit and watch a perfect world go by
We're all looking for love and meaning in our lives
We follow the roads that lead us
To drugs or Jesus
To drugs or Jesus
Oh, I need you Jesus

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah

~Performed by Tim McGraw~
I once read about a woman who gave up crack to get
herself clean after 15 years of cocaine addiction.
She told of how Jesus is the only one who could
have brought her through this difficult journey
to find salvation. She said you have to replace the
bad habits or behavior, the negative energy,
with something good and positive.

She said she had to die from her old life and begin living
a new life with Jesus in order to recover. She told of how
she relapsed the first time after she changed everything
that she thought was wrong. The second time is when she
surrendered her will and life to Jesus. Thinking that just
being clean was enough, she learned that you've got to
have purpose. Christ is the key because He gives you
purpose. She is living a lifestyle now,  where drugs just
don't fit. She says she is finally becoming the person
she knew she can always be.
Remember
A man may go to heaven
without health, without wealth;
without fame, without a great name;
without learning, without earnings;
without culture, without beauty;
without friends and ten thousand other things,
But he can NEVER go to Heaven without Christ
