| Today I smiled, and all at once things didn't look so bad. Today I shared with someone else, a little bit of hope I had. |
| Today I sang a little song, and felt my heart grow with delight,
And then I walked a happy little mile, with not a cloud in sight. |
| Today I worked with what I had, and longed for nothing more.
And what had seemed like only weeds, were flowers at my door. Today I loved a little more and complained a little less. And in the giving of myself, I forgot my weariness. |
| Jesus is the song in my heart, the joy of my life, and the reason I’m living.
Do you have this joy in your heart today? Are you able to sing a new song of praise to Him each day, or are you still in the snare of satan? When you wake up in the morning, there should be a new song of praise in your heart. There should be more love for Jesus in your heart. If you are not able to praise Jesus with a deeper commitment to Him each day, you do not know the heart of Jesus. |
| There is no Friend like Jesus! Just thinking about Jesus and His Love and Friendship to me fills me with such contentment and joy. I can go to Him when I am sad, and He cries with me. I go to Him when I am happy, and he rejoices with me. Then there are times when I can’t say anything because I am so overwhelmed with love for Him, and He always understands my heart. |

| My Heart Wants to Sing
Special moments we share together makes my heart want to sing. Sharing a walk through the woods Listening to sounds within the trees. In the glow of the moonlight As I reach out for the stars I am overwhelmed with emotions My heart can't help but sing. God has given me these blessings Precious moments when I think of you I find again when I look to the stars My heart just wants to sing. Like the beautiful golden sunset The view of a perfect pastel rainbow Knowing that God walks beside us My heart can't help but sing. When I give thanks for all He has given Each wonderful sound and scent of life I give praise to God each and everyday My heart wants to sing with love. ©Linda Rice October 2005 |
