The following poem is based on actual events. Many of my fellow teachers and students were personally effected by the events of September 11th. This is just one man's story...

"One Man's Story"

He left her at the station,
As he did everyday.
Gave her a kiss,
And sent her away.

She worked at the Towers,
He at our school.
Teaching our children
That learning is cool.

I saw him that morning,
We passed in the hall.
He smiled and wished me luck,
With my classes that Fall.

He was paged to the office,
To answer her call.
She spoke about the crash,
As she ran down the hall.

She never made it down,
And as they spoke he knew,
That his entire world
Would be broken in two.
