                "Hey watch it!!" Krillian cried out as Goku sent a large blast at Krillian, which was far too strong for the man to catch. Goku laughed "I'm sorry krillian!! Let�s take a break! You have gotten a whole lot stronger!" Krillian rolled his eyes "Oh yeah right.....I mean if you just went super sayin you could kick my butt from here to the 8th dimension!" The two friends laughed as they sat on a grassy hill. It was noon and soon they could go to town for lunch. Gohon and Piccolo where training by themselves.
Krillian smiled up at the clouds after flopping on his back. "Wouldn�t it be nice to not have to worry all the time?"
                  "What do you mean?" Goku asked tilting his head slightly. Ever since he was a kid he still had that cute way to be oblivious about everything. It was just so...special and rare to see that curiosity and wonder of the world in a grown mans eyes. The shorter of the two closed his eyes "Well I mean, not worrying about well.... fighting! Androids, mutants, evil robots dad finding m-" Krillian stopped in mid-sentence. Goku looked at the man suddenly very serious. On Krillian�s face a scarred shadow had flushed over his cheeks. "What is it Krillian? Scarred your dad will find what?"
                  Now that Goku thought about it Krillian never talked about his parents. Goku had assumed they where or he didn�t know them like Goku. 'I...I�can't tell Goku...what will he think of me when I tell him!?" Krillians mind raced. Krillian waved a hand. "N...Nothing. Just forget about it." But Goku wasn't about to drop it. The monk had gotten his curiosity started up. "Tell me!!" Goku said pleadingly, and grabbed Krillian�s shoulder.
                  "No...I...I...I can't...I ..." Goku noticed the fear in his voice. "Krillian you don't have to be afraid I mean I won't tell him anything? What�s he looking for? Did you take something from him?" Krillian felt sweat prickle on the back of his neck from the pressure Goku was putting on him. "Tell me!! C'mon...PLEEEEEAAASSSEEE KRILLIAN!!"
"Goku-"
"Well will you tell me?"
"No...Goku I really�don't wan-"
"Krillian...c'mon....I won't tell anyone!"
"GOKU!!"
                  That shut him up. Krillian had yelled and sent the most terrifying glare at Goku. Goku released him and starred silently at him. He was just a little shocked at the anger in Krillian�s voice..."Goku I�m sorry my dad...he�s looking for me..." Goku looked at his best friend and his mouth fell open when he saw tears falling down his cheeks. Which had flushed red. "He...was a bad guy....He should never...been a dad.....H�he...killed my mom....and was...going...Oh Kami-sama....Goku I'm so... so scarred he'll get me....he'll find me...he...I...I don't want him to hurt me anymore...."
            Krillian pulled up hi sleeve to reveal a burn scar. "He did....that..." The tears where falling faster and his small body shuddered under the intense sorrow. With out hesitation Goku wrapped his arms around his best friend. "Krillin...I ..I didn�t know� I�m so...so sorry....so sorry....but your safe now..." Goku felt the man cling to him and sob into his shirt. This reminding him of what Gohon did when he was younger and scarred. For the first time Goku felt the horror of knowing how fragile Krillian really was.
                  "Ssshhhhh....NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE will hurt you again like that Krillian....you've always been like my brother to me...no one will hurt you...okay?''
Krillian looked up smiling wiping his tears looking very embarrassed. ''The same goes f�f�for me Goku...I guess I...I just needed to be reassured." Goku hugged him again hugging him tightly to his chest. "He can't hurt you...Krillian...ever...he won't touch you. He'll never find you...okay? He never can. You�re safe with me. With Gohon, Piccolo, Bulma, Master Roshi, Chi chi and the others!! You�re safe."
                  The two friends hugged each other knowing deep down in the future one would die and never come back. Eventually that would happen but right now they had to live.

                  But if they�d turned they would have seen an older man maybe in his late 50's smile at Krillian. "Hello my son....we have a lot of catching up to do..."
