ANAMU

   Abuta grandiofolia
Also known as:  Petiveria alliacea, Mucura, Tipi
Anamu is indigenous to the Amazon rainforest but can be found in Central & South America, as well as the southeastern United States. In various cultures, it is considered to be a folk remedy for arthritis and to help support the immune system.
Common use: Arthritis

Anamu is reportedly used as a traditional herbal remedy in such countries as Dominican Republic, Mexico, Venezuela, Trinidad, Panama, and Haiti. In these respective cultures the root and the leaf are used in both internal & external applications, for a wide variety of conditions.
