Fairly distant from the heart of the mansion itself, the almost completely underground guest-house is used by Gates as a retreat when nobody is staying in it. In fact, Gates used this 1,900-sqaure-foot guest house, complete with fireplace, bathroom,, and a bedroom, to write his book, "The Road Ahead." |

The underground garage is built completely underground (hence the name), and is about 6,300- sqaure-feet. It can easily hold ten or more cars. This structure made completely of concrete and stainless steel resembles a cave and, strangely, some of the concrete is intentionally broken for that "deconstructive" look. |

The 900-square-foot activities building is directly beside a multi-sport court, two putting greens, and two boatdocks (not shown in picture). Originally, there was a house at this location and it was removed from the locaion by barge. |
