Omri Haim Katz was born to Rina and Yorum Katz on May 30th, in the year 1976.
He was born in LA, California and has an older brother Michael and an older sister Lali.
When Omri was around 3-4, he moved to Israel for a year, where he still has a lot of relatives.
Anyways, there isn't that much known about his childhood or how he got into acting. Rumor goes that his mom send a pic of him to a talent agency when he was 3, and then he started to do commercials and starring in shows like simon & simon (guest).
When he was 7 years old, his carreer started to grow, as he became a regular in the king of the soapseries: Dallas, where he played John Ross Ewing III.
He played that part from 1983 'till the show ended in 1991. He also recieved an award for best young actor in a drama series for that role.
But his break came when he was chosen to portray Marshall on the show Eerie, Indiana. The show only lasted for 2 seasons, despite it was really popular among the youngsters. It was kind of a Disney X-files show, and we can only guess why it was cancelled. I really loved it though. He did some guest starring in tv series as Zorro and The Torkelsons, and he started to do some movies too, and starred amongst stars as John Goodman and Bette Middler in movies as Matinee and Hocus Pocus (both 1993).
Then Omri disappeared from the star scene as fast as he arrived. He can be seen in the Dallas made-for-tv movie JR's Return from 1996, and he was recently spotted gueststarring in an episode of the show Freeks and Geeks in 1999. But that's about it.
