Haven't updated this site in a month-a-sundays, but I've been busy. It's very involved being me. Yesterday we left Lubbock at 5pm and headed to Dallas to pick up Luke's niece. And when we got there we turned around and came back to town. IT SUCKED. We went through copious amounts of junk food & caffeine and did (okay, I'll admit it) have a great time. We got back at about 6am today and I slept until 3pm. We're all getting to be entirely too old for this stuff. Wedding plans are going well, for anyone and everyone who cares. The big day is December 4. I'll spare you the details about it all just now (plus, just my luck, someone would go snag my reception & ceremony sites before I can reserve them. Bastards.) My dear friend Stacy is also getting married, although in April. And my adminstrative assistant, Jen, is getting married next May. And my very oldest friend Shannon is engaged to be engaged and should get married either in October or December. So we're all becoming Bridezillas, which I swore I'd never do. But I am and it's all good. (Hey, you only get to do this once!)
What else is new? Well, I started a new job in February and it rocks. I work for a non-profit health organization (which shall remain nameless on this website). I staff the benefits & events that our local communities put on, so it's a lot of "lunching" and meetings and chatting on the phone. And a LOT of planning & organizing. Basically, I was born to do this job. Never a dull day, and I have my own office. And my own company car. And cell phone. And laptop. And I get like 20 vacation days and some kick-ass benefits. I do lead a charmed live. And again, it is very involved being me.
Luke also started a new job, in May, and he is enamored with it. He works for an unnamed RTC (residential treatment center) for abused & neglected kids. It's hard work, but he really loves the people he works with. I think it's very fulfilling for him to be able to help so many underprivileged kids. I'm so glad that both of us have jobs that we can actually use for the benefit of society. We're not just "corporate whores," as Luke so eloquently put it. :)
I don't have much else to talk about just now (still a little sleep deprived from our adventure yesterday). But I do plan on updating my dear old website with more frequency. TTYL.

PS - STOP PRESS. I forgot to say that Harry Potter 6 comes out ON JULY 16 and I am beside myself with excitement. Don't expect to hear from me next week (going to the lake) or the next, because I shall be very busy. And important. ;)
