GEORGE LITTLETON
.2  George LITTLETON was born on 26 February 1818 to Thomas LITTLETON and Mary 'Polly' MATLOCK in Roane County, Tennessee. He died on 29 January 1897 in Roane County, Tennessee and was buried in Cave Creek Cemetery, Roane County, Tennessee.  George married (1) Rebecca MATHIS on 22 March 1847 in Roane County, Tennessee.  Rebecca was born about 1824 in North Carolina.  George married (2) Malinda HART on 27 Augugust 1854 in Roane County, Tennessee. She was daughter of John Sawyer HART Sr. and Letitia M. MARNEY. Malinda was born in July 1837 in Tennessee. She died about 1909 in Roane County, Tennessee and was buried in Cave Creek Cemetery, Roane County, Tennessee.

NOTE: (1)Hardin, in the 1860 census is a nephew.
(2)William B. Littleton b: Jan 1865, Wilson Elkanah Littleton b. Jun 1867, Samuel Albert Littleton b. Jan 1874. In a copy of a letter from Albert Littleton, he says that Samuel was killed by a cousin.
