THOMAS LITTLETON
FAMILY INFORMATION and OTHER FACTS

I have loved researching my family lineage since the first time that I found my grandfather on a census record. Since that time I have been hooked. I have especially loved researching the Littleton family.

It is quite a challenge to convince others that Emaline was not the daughter of James Littleton; but was his sister. I have documentation to prove that Emaline is the daughter of Thomas Littleton and Mary Matlock. The challenge is now finding the father of Thomas born about 1768.

Many researcher say that Thomas' parents are William Littleton and Sarah Cottingham, but I have NOT found that connection. I have found, that in many cases that once someone finds something in print they automatically think that it is truth. Believe me it is NOT. SO, please verify things for yourself. I hope that you will also check out things on my WebPages as well. Some of my information has been given to me from other thoughtful researchers and for that I am truly grateful… BUT, the biggest part of my information has been researched by myself.

I recently (2001) found that a William and a Sarah were in Hawkins County, Tennessee in the early 1800’s (1812 or so), but I have not found where Thomas was ever there. This does not prove that William and Sarah are Thomas’ parents it just proves that they were there.

This is going to be an on-going project. So please check back often.
