"Abstract of North Carolina Wills"

Jones Co, NC...4 Jan 1792....Will Thomas Littleton.
To my wife - Mary Littleton - All the personal estate she already possessed at the time of our marriage, also a horse, 2 cows and calves; hogs, stock, that she chooses a plow, fluke, harness, weeding hoe. And the two notes against Thomas Lee for ten barrels of corn - each. She is to have the 50 acres of land where we now live - Also my tanned leather, and a saddle for her lifetime but no longer.
To my daughter - Leah Johnston, 100 acres of land between Goose Pond and my Plantation, also the 50 acres willed to my wife, at her death. The house willed to my wife is to go to my Grandson, Edward Johnston, at my wife's death.
To my son - William Littleton, a choice of beds and furniture, a large pot and large chest.
To my granddaughter, Sally Lee, a cow and calf, when she is of age or married, and until then, they are to be kept by my wife for her.

"In the name of the Benevolent Father of All: I, Elizabeth A. Littleton of Pultney Township, Belmont County, Ohio, being of sound mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1. I do give and devise one (1) dollar to each of my following children, Charles A. Littleton, Loyd T. Littleton, William M. Littleton, Jessie Littleton, Franklin Littleton, Sarah Moffit, Sibbie Ann Austin, and to Margaret Davis' heirs one dollar.

Item 2nd. I do give and devise ten (10) dollars to Barbara Typle my daughter.

Item 3rd. I do give and devise the house and two or more acres of ground therewith, on which I now live and which was purchased from Robert Crangle, to my two sons, John Littleton and Clemuel Littleton, their heirs and assigns forever.

Item 4th. I do give and devise to said John Littleton, Clemuel Littleton, my sons, and Nancy M. Littleton, my daughter, all the house hold furniture, share and share alike. If at my death, I should have any other property of any kind whatsoever I give and devise the same to said John, Clemuel, and Nancy Littleton share and share alike...

I do hereby revoke all former will by me made. In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of September A.D. 1888...

Testimony in the matter of the will of Elizabeth A. Littleton, deceased, late of Belmont County...On the 14th day of October A. D. 1893..."

Will of BARBARA LITTLETON:
Will #M520 on FHL #886939 Vol M-N years 1879-1884

"..I give and bequeathto my daughter Frances Archibald all my right title and interest to about 18 acres of coal lying and being in range two Township and section 28 in Belmont County State of Ohio for the said Frances Archibald to see  and dispose of and to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and the  balance to be equally divided between my heirs to wit the said Frances Archibald, Elizabeth Hutchinson, Jackson Littleton, Olive Lasuse, Thomas M. Littleton share and share alike. George Littleton to share in the rest after deducting $85.00 if there is more than that amount to be divided. Charles H. Littleton to share with the rest after deducting $125.00 if there is more than that amount.

I constitute and appoint my daughter Frances Archibald sole executer of this my last will and testament without bond herely revoking all former wills made by me.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my sear this 31st of March A. D. 1881.

...be given to William J. Littleton, Thomas M. Littleton, Nathan Littleton and George Littleton next of kin of the testatrix resident of the State of Ohio that said application will be for hearing before the court on the 10th

Last Will and Testament of Catharine INGRAM

I Catherine INGRAM of the County of Loudon and State of Tennessee do make and publish this my Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all other former Wills by me at any time heretofore made. First- I direct that my body be decently Interred at Cave Creek in Roane County in a manner suitable to my condition in life and as to such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to entrust me with. I despose of the same as follows.  First- I give to my daughter _______ one hundred dollars of the proceeds of  my land and also my Second Daughter Polly Ann one hundred dollars, and I give to my son Hardin one hundred. Also I give to my Son  George M. LITTLETON one hundred dollars. I also give to my Son's Hardin and George M. LITTLETON to have the land they use in making their Stove Wear, and further I appoint my Son George M. LITTLETON, my lawful Executor to my Will. I also want my Sons Hardin and George to pay the Girls one hundred dollars apiece and take my farm.

In witness whereof  I Catherine INGRAM the Said Testatrix have set my hand and seal this 22nd day of December Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Six.

Loudon County       } County Court April Term 1877.
This was the last will and testament of Catharine Ingram, produced in open Court, and its execution and declarations duly proved in open Court by the oaths of Jackson West and George W. Wheat the Subscribing witnesses thereto and adjudged by the Court to be the last will and testament of  said Testatrix and admitted to record and ordered to be certified and recorded.

Sanford INGRAM (widower of Mary Burnett and Catharine Anthony Littleton)

Last Will and Testament of Sanford INGRAM
July 23rd 1882

I this day make this my last will and testament, first I bequeath that after  my Deth I want all my Just dets settle and me decently Intered. I give my  farms to my Sons Moses L. INGRAM and Jefferson INGRAM. Moses L. INGRAM is to have all of the farm West of the Loudon Road except from the hollow on the
Kingston Road the line is to start at that point and _____ to the West corner of the Barn lot thence with the bar lot fence to the South corner thence with the big gulley till it stricks the big road below the hous  I want Jefferson to hav all the remainder of my land so as to include the Barn lot cut off the West side of the road, Moses L. INGRAM and Jefferson INGRAM is to pay my other heirs one hundred and fifty a peace excepted the Dock LITTLETON heirs I had given them their portions of my estate heretofore and I want the one hundred and fifty Dollars that was to be paid to my daughter Hannah LITTLETON to be paid to her Daughter Mary LITTLETON for her own benefit.
I also will that Joseph STUART the boy that I have raised shall have a horse to be worth Seventy five Dollars Said horse is to be furnished by Moses L. INGRAM and Jefferson INGRAM to the said Joseph STUART. I give my entire stock and farming utensils house hold and kitchen furniture to my Son Jefferson INGRAM  this I make my last will this the 23 rd day of July 1882.
