From our city with a heart of gold,
albums by the millions sold,
willing to explore and learn,
her great success she did earn

Her voice she has the gift,
listening to her gives such a lift,
enriched with beauty and style indeed,
happy for her she did succeed,

Nominated for various awards,
having more to look towards,
winning many we share her pride,
all her fans are by her side,

Homecoming day was quite the sight,
her presence making it bright,
Shania may be miles away,
her "Welcome Sign" is here to stay.

Well Shania did it, made to the top and I'm so very proud of her. The women, I believed, would make it someday in the music industry ... but wow this big. I had hoped for great success in her life. It all still amazes me when I watch her receive her many music awards.

I recall many years ago when she played at some of our local clubs here in Timmins, Ont. I was so impressed with her talent at such a young age. My words back then were "That girl is going to make it someday !"; little did I know, she would have sold millions of albums.

I guess that's the reasoning for feeling such a connection with Shania and her music. I am always so proud to say I am from Timmins "Home of Shania Twain".

Shania puts so much into her music, the clarity and feeling in her voice and her style. Millions have had the opportunity to listen to such great talent and witness her great success :))
