Wicket is a Shih Tzu (Chinese, trans. "lion dog"), which is to say he's a Tibetan temple dog. Supposedly, monks used to carry these little dogs inside the voluminous sleeves of their robes as (believe it or not) attack dogs! * by Old-N-Bold * . I sit on the floor and gaze out our front door, As I watch the whole world passing by; Sometimes I shout, sometimes I snooze, And sometimes just heave a big sigh. . I have been around here for a very long time, And I'm master of all I survey; I'm quite sure the people here love me a lot, For they often come to say G'day! . My mother once lived here, a long time ago But she married and then went away; But my Granny and Grandpop are always around, And look after me, feed me, and play. . One day, if I'm lucky, my mum will return, And once more fill my heart with glee; Oh! I'd be her Rover, I'd lick her all over! I'm Wicket, the Shih Tzu, you see! . |
