A Profound Tear

The symbol of America
shed a tear for you and me
A tear of determination
to keep this country free

United in the things we'll do
to right the wrongs we felt
Show the world our purpose
for the tragedy so dealt

Nothing though will ease the pain
of the loss of life that day
we'll find the perpetrators
and we'll surely make them pay

We will find peace eventually
through the strength of one and all
And show the world we will survive
and rebuild our towers tall
