I am Sorry

Words can not express
the feelings in my heart.
I knew you were in trouble
yet I did not stop
my life to check on you.

I Sailed along in oblivion,
not stopping, not thinking,
focused on myself,
my daily tasks.

There is no excuse for my behavior.
No words that can take
the hurt you felt
from my ignorance.

But I am stopping Now!
I am paying attention
to my friend.
Someone I truly care about
and hold dear to me.

Let me be there
Let me be a source of strength
for you.
Don't shut me out,
or let anger, sadness or
more stupidity from letting us grow.

Life is a true process of Learning,
making mistakes to be remembered,
Forgiveness, and most of all
Knowing how important we all are!

You are loved,
by me and by many.
I want to be there,
to make you laugh,
and to wipe your tears.
