Leslie Harland Campbell

Leslie Harland Campbell, son of Ambrose Campbell and Clara May Ferguson Campbell, was born 11 April 1894 at Shunk, Pennsylvania. He died 9 February 1954 at Summit, New Jersey. He married:
(1) 2 July 1917 at New York City, Edna Wellington Corbet, daughter of Denys Wellington Corbet, a native of Guernsey, England, and Wilhelmina Caroline "Minnie" Mayer of Brooklyn, New York. Edna W. was born 20 December 1888 [more likely 1893], Brooklyn, and died 24 December 1929 at Lynbrook, New York. She is buried in Queens Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn.
(2) 11 September 1931 at New York City, Mary Teresa McManus daughter of William J. and Teresa. Mary born 3 March 1902 [and died late 1960s?]. No children.
(3) 21 June 1951 at Reno, Nevada, Emily B. Biddle, daughter of Richard. [Died Jan. 1974.] No children.
Leslie H. was a veteran of World War I by service in Balloon Section, U.S. Air Corps. He was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant February 1918 at Fort Omaha, took a detachment of replacements to France April 1918, served with the 4th Balloon Company on St. Mihiel and Chateau Thiery fronts until 18 October 1918. Honorable discharge May 1919.

Leslie H. attended the University of Pennsylvania and Bucknell University, graduating from the latter in 1920 with a degree of Master of Science in Chemical Engineering. He was in the employ of Bell Laboratories, New York City, and later in northern New Jersey. He and Edna Corbet Campbell had one child:
Donald de Beauchamp Campbell, born 28 September 1922 and married 18 September 1948 at McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to Miss Mimi Griesbeck, born 14 May 1920, daughter of Frank Joseph Griesbeck and Blanche (Caroline) Rems Griesbeck. They have two children:
Leslie Jean Campbell, born 23 June 1952 at Newton (New Jersey) Hospital.
Lisa Claire Campbell, born 29 March 1955 at Newton (New Jersey) Hospital.
