Jesus became sin
for us when He hung on the cross. ALL of our sins were piled on Him, past,
present and future. That’s why God couldn’t look at Him and why Jesus said, “Why
have you forsaken me?” Because His Father SAW OUR SIN.
But Jesus paid for them when He poured out His precious blood. He can’t pay
again a second time, and we are not able to pay for our own sins. He is the
only one Who’s blood can cleanse us. He didn’t clean
us up half way, He totally redeemed us, sanctified us, made us righteous and
justified. He said, “It is finished!” There is nothing more we can EVER to do
redeem ourselves. His blood was the gift He gave us, and once we accept it, we
are no longer in filthy rags.
We are completely clean in His eyes. That is why we can go boldly to the throne
of grace, because we are already righteous. We are welcome into the Holy of
Holies and to be in the presence of our Father.
Hbr 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto
the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in
time of need.
Hbr 10:17 And their sins
and iniquities will I remember no more.
Hbr 10:18 Now where remission of these [is, there is]
no more offering for sin.
Hbr 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to
enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
Hbr 10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath
consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
Rev 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and
to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast
redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and
people, and nation;
Isa 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him
stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
Isa 53:5 But he [was] wounded
for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement
of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isa 53:6 All we like sheep
have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath
laid on him the iniquity of us all.
1Cr 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are
washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord
Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1Cr 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us
wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
2Cr 5:21 For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who
knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Hbr 9:12 Neither by the
blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the
holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].
