Joachim Newsletter
Edition; 20 Date; July 2008 Dear Family Apologies for taking longer than usual to compile a Newsletter but I have been very busy. Also, there has been a shortage of items, yes, that is a subtle hint to remind all of you that it would be so interesting to hear Joachim news and/or family stories. Items in this newsletter; Ø Vale, Colin George Chapman Ø Birth, Blake Alexander James-Wurzel Colin George Chapman, 2nd May 1949 – 29th June 2008. Colin is the first born son to Shirley and Keith Chapman. Keith is the son of Susan Chapman nee Joachim (Sissie). For those of us who attended the service to celebrate Colin’s life it came as no surprise to hear what an outstanding son, husband and father he had been. Neither were we surprised to hear of his strong commitment to family, friends and the community. And, being the grandson of Bert Chapman it was not surprising to see Colin’s casket draped in his beloved St.Kilda gurnsey. However, on the casket was Colin’s very precious trumpet. Colin was the trumpeter in “Kush” and we were treated to the most wonderful music from a CD of Colin. To Shirley and Keith, the high esteem that Colin was held in by all who met him is not only a reflection of the fine person he was but it also is a reflection of two wonderful and loving parents who raised him. Remember Colin is always with you in your hearts. Blake Alexander James-Wurzel To Emma and Damien a baby boy on 28th June, Blake Alexander James-Wurzel , Weight 3.03kg or 6 lb 10 oz . Congratulations to all! Take care, Katrina |
