West: Dork Tower Board Game
We had a blast playing the Dork Tower Board
Game by Steve Jackson Games.
The World's Greatest Husband, a.k.a. Brian Curley, gave me my copy for
Valentine's Day, and my first chance playing the game was at Dorkstock
West with John Kovalic, The Lovely and Talented Judith Kovalic, The
World's Greatest Husband Brian Curley, and Doc Cross. Then later
in the weekend, another group of people came when I ran the game as an
event. So many people showed up that Bill, one of the players,
went to his room to fetch his copy of the DTBG that he just bought, so
all 12 people could play. Thanks, Bill! -L.

Judith, John, and WGH Brian playing DTBG
Doc
Cross
Doc
Cross played Igor's character of Topdeck perfectly; this was his
first draw:
Turbonium Dragon: 15 points
Kobold-Kin: 2 points
Bandits: 3 points
Undead Knight: 10 points
Total: 30 points
What
John drew when he tried to face the wizard. Note: to defeat
the wizard, you must defeat 5 encounters. Brian played another
encounter on him, and John drew 2 "Lair" encounters which made for two
more encounters added for a total of eight encounters. Needless
to say, he died. Judith won, and John will never forgive my
husband for casting a scroll that took away John's ring before he had a
chance to use it!
Demon: 11 points
Undead? Golem: 9 points
Bandits: 3 points
Goblin Shaman: 5 points
Fire Elemental: 9 points
Bugbear: 4 points
Mummy: 6 points
Giant Spiders: 2 points
Total: 49 points
Bill,
whose board is being played, is the one at the upper right of the table.
