Appalachian Folktales Unit

¨ When given a tale students will be able to create a puppet show and present it to the class.

¨ When asked about Appalachian folktale students will be able discuss them using example from at least three tells.

¨ When given two tales student will be able to compare and contrast with at least five similarities/differences.

Materials:

Pencils, Paper, Markers and Crayons etc. Popsicles sticks, Construction paper, Computer. Story map and Venn diagram worksheets

3. Each group makes a story map

4. Create puppets

5. Write a short script
