1. Purchaser agrees and binds him/herself to take good and resonable care of this cat/kitten so as to provide food, shelter, correct routine and accident related medical care, exercise and affection.
2. The cat/kitten is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival into Purchaser's care. It is guaranteed for a period of five (5) days from the time of purchase (arrival) if vet checked within that time and providing the cat/kitten has been isolated from other animal members of the household within this time frame. Health guarantee is forfeit if proper isolation procedures are not followed and the cat/kitten is allowed contact with another animal. If isolation procedures have been followed and the cat/kitten is found to be medically deficient with an untreatable or life-threatening problem, it MUST be reported to the Seller immediately. The cat/kitten cannot be returned after the guarantee has been expired and/or if it has been exposed to another cat that has not been currently tested for FeLV and FIV. It is the responsibility of the buyer to provide immediate veterinary care to any cat/kitten showing any signs of illness or distress and failure to do so will render any guarantee null and void. Under no circumstances is a cat/kitten to be destroyed prior to notification by the Purchaser to the Seller. If the cat/kitten dies within the guarantee period, despite medical treatment, compensation will be made ONLY if a veterinarian certifies the cause of death.
3. This cat/kitten is guaranteed against congenital defects for one year. Should the cat die within that time as a direct result of a congenital defect, the cat will be replaced ONLY if an appropriate autopsy is performed by a licensed vet and a vet's certificate is provided as proof of cause of death. A replacememnt will be made of a cat of comparable quality and value, as available, at the discretion of the breeder.
4. Under no circumstances will this cat/kitten be sold, leased or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory or similar facility. Under no circumstances will this cat/kitten be surrendered, sold, leased or given away to a humane society or animal shelter. If at any time, for any reason, the Purchaser finds that they cannot keep said cat/kitten in their care, they agree to give Seller rights of first refusal to try to place cat/kitten in a new home or to assist them in screening potential new homes.
5. This cat/kitten will be kept indoors and not be allowed to roam freely outside. The only time it is permissible that the cat be outdoors is when under supervision on a harness and leash or when protected within an approved cat enclosure.
6. This cat/kitten is purchased for PET purposes only. Registration papers will be furnished upon proof of neutering delivered to Seller, certified by a licensed veterinarian. All registration papers and/or blue slips will be marked 'Not for breeding' to reflect the cat/kitten's pet status.
7. This cat/kitten was purchased as a pet only. Purchaser agrees to alter (castrate/spay) this cat/kitten between the ages of three and seven months of age. Purchaser agrees and guarantees that this cat/kitten WILL NOT be used for stud purposes. If this cat/kitten is found to be used as a breeding animal, Purchaser agrees to surrender said cat/kitten and all offspring (or moneys attained from the sales of them) to Seller, unconditionally and with no monetary refund to Purchaser by Seller. (PLEASE NOTE FOR EXAMPLE CONTRACT'S SAKE: MARBELIZED CATTERY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PET PRIOR TO LEAVING, AT ANY INCURRED COST OF HALF THE PROCEDURE TO YOU. THIS IS KEEPING IN LINE WITH SUGGESTED PROTOCOLS TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE ARE NOT BREEDING THESE CATS WITHOUT BREEDING RIGHTS OR PERMISSION.)
8. If this cat/kitten is found to be neglected or mistreated, Purchaser will surrender said cat/kitten to the Seller, unconditionally with no monetary refund.
