Today we have the good fortune of being addressed by Mr. Richard Lamb. Richard "Vince" Lamb received his B.S. and M.S. in Geology from UCLA and California State University, Northridge, respectively. His marching experience includes the Anaheim Kingsmen and North Star drum and bugle corps, along with other successful community, high school and college bands in Southern California. Lamb was Flag Instructor at UCLA in addition to his work with high schools. "Vince" and his wife Laurie have two children, ages 4 and 10, who also continue the 20-year Lamb tradition of following drum corps. Lamb was an original contributor to drum corps newsgroups and currently runs the Summer RAMD Reader's Poll. He is a Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where he will be graduating this year with a Ph.D. in Biology. Lamb is an authority on the fossil mollusks of the Rancho La Brea tar pits in California, and has a masters thesis and published paper available on the subject, as well as two papers in press. He served as a Ranger at Channel Islands National Park in 1986, and was Outstanding Graduate Student of the Department of Geological Sciences at California State University, Northridge, in 1989. Richard "Vince" Lamb is Pollster and Co-founder of RAMD Virtual Symposium, and will be addressing RAMD today on the topic of "Drum Corps For the Class of 2000 and Beyond." Please welcome the contribution of Mr., soon to be "Dr.," Richard "Vince" Lamb.
