Introducing Scott Wilkinson

Today Scott Wilkinson will be addressing us on marching percussion innovations.  His address
is entitled, "Greater Musical Possibilities in Marching Percussion."

Scott Wilkinson received his B.M. degree in Percussion Performance from the Juilliard School
in 1985. He performed as a timpanist and percussionist with professional orchestras and other
ensembles for more than 15 years before switching to a career in communications.

He studied for many years with Saul Goodman, Roland Kohloff, and Buster Bailey in New York,
and with Fred Begun in Washington, D.C. His experience includes the Spoleto Festival, the
Colorado Philharmonic, the Tanglewood Festival, and the Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.
He began following DCI in 1977 and has been a fan ever since. His drum corps experience is
primarily in arranging and teaching, and he had experience with the 27th Lancers and the
Bridgemen.
