HERE IS JACK MARCHAND THE INVENTOR OF DUAL MODE MAGLEV GLOBAL SYSTEM.--The 'MARCO SYSTEM' originated in 1960s of which many are now trying to claim the idea as theirs.It's on file with the US DOT, US PATENT OFFICE, TRW CORP., BOEING CORP. and many others.

(IMAGE NO.1 Above) In the early sixties after spending several hours with the Chief Engineer of R&D at the office of the U.S.DOT in Washington DC discussing my Dual Mode Maglev Concept (see below)using personal autos riding in a tube where they would be suspended (floating) magnetically and propelled in a tube type guideway while being spaced and controlled electronically by the system during their transit to destination. As the vehicles get off the network they then propel themselves like regular autos and using batteries rather than gas or other fuels. The Chief Engineer was quite receptive of my concept but doubted the feasability of magnetically suspending and propelling the vehicle. I told him That In Industry we were using both methods seperately and its just a matter of combining them. A few years later The DOT finance research at MIT and they confirmed through experiments it was feasable. Not long after Japan and Germany among others took a shot at it and thus we have maglev trains(Above).In the early 90s I had an exhibit down on Wall Street stating they were on the Right Track but going the wrong way. Displaying how my concept works. Since then newcomers are trying to claim it as theirs. See 'dual mode maglev' to get an idea of what they are claiming from my ideas below.

Standardization will be the next requirement so that all vehicle makes can be adapted to the magnetic guideways. Either they conform to the new reality or fall out of the picture. Others like General Electric Co., Bombardier, and many others for sure will want to participate if present automakers try to stall.

The three BI-MODAL systems above were the MARCO SYSTEM (mine), STARRCAR, and URBMOBILE.The arrow above points to "MARCO SYSTEM" -- 'Electromechanically suspended and propelled individually owned automobiles offering conventional automobile characteristics on the street and claiming speeds up to 300 mph in a tube type of guideway.' I.E.- The only dual mode MAGLEV system concept existing at that time. It prompted newcomers to now steal the idea and run. GOOD LUCK !!(cont)

(IMAGE NO.46 Above)The Fig.1 shows how the vehicles are automatically inserted in the system. First each vehicle is inspected for safety if not it goes to a reject ramp telling why it failed. If it passed it goes to the waiting ramp and then accelerated and inserted if there is an available slot. Once in the guideway the vehicles are progressively spaced further apart the faster they go. But regardless of speed the passing rate per minute is constant which also makes the system safe and foolproof.The Fig.2 shows vehicles in transit at high speeds and got spaced further apart automatically. Fig.3 shows the point of exit (just before the entrance point preferably nearby) where the vehicles are decelerated even more while going thru registration and computation station. If rider(driver)does not acknowledge its presence the vehicle is sent to an attended ramp to awake the driver or take necessary emergencies if not well or responding.The Fig.4 is a freight yard location where only cargo is extracted or inserted and preferably giving preference to passeger vehicles to insertion into the system.The cargo containers are automatically put in storage racks for truck pick ups later.The same holds true for cargo leaving there.
