Family said this was Jennie Bethel McCray-Reid's Grandparents. Jennie Bethel McCray is the daughter of Martha Rodes-McCray and William B. McCray Jr. Her Grandparents are William Roden "aka" Rodes and Minerva McClennon-Rodes. Caroline Roden-McCray and William McCray Sr. There was only one year difference in the age of William Roden born 1835 and Minerva McClennon-Roden born 1836. William McCray Sr was born ca 1810 and Caroline Roden-McCray was born ca 1838. When I had this picture in photo edit, I enlarged the man and he has a lot of wrinkles in his face and his beard has gray in it. You can see there is quite a difference in age of these two. My guess is that this is William McCray Sr and Caroline Roden-McCray because of the age difference. I think the picture would have been taken around 1860, about the same year as I estimate them married. If anyone out there can recognize these two pictures, an e-mail would be appreciated. |
