| All portraits are painted in artist quality acrylic paints on acid free acrylic art paper. They can be customised to suit your requirements i.e. full background, no background, just a head shot or a complete body painting. I can also do groups of people/animals. Most of my portraits average 12" x 16" in size although this size is an approximation -If possible I will paint to different sizes if required. |
| Reference photographs need to be clear and sharp, no smaller than 6" x 4" in size with the subject face no smaller than 2" x 2" in size - really the bigger and clearer the better. They can be in black and white if that is your preference for the finished result. Please supply the eye colour as this is not always apparent in a photograph. A selection of reference shots are preferred. Please state the particular reference photograph you want me to work from if decided. If you can supply me with any character details so much the better as this should be conveyed in a good portrait (this also applies to dogs!). Photographs can be sent by regular post or if you would prefer, e.mail a scan. |
| If you think you may be interested in a commission, contact me stating your requirements and I will supply you with payment details and an estimated completion date. Please note - I work using a booking system and am usually taking bookings from about 2 weeks ahead so please keep this in mind when booking for special occasions; from September to Christmas this time frame can stretch up to a month -to avoid disappointment please book early! * see above notice On completion I will mail you a scan of the portrait and if you like it, all you need to do is send the balance of payment. Portraits are despatched unframed, covered in clear plastic inside protective tubes. Prices are for original paintings. Prices DO NOT include copyright or reproduction rights. All copyright is retained by the artist. |
| No deposit is required, suffice to say that if you are not satisfied with the finished result (sample) I will retain the original painting plus the right to sell it to another party. |
| Prices range from as little as £69.99/$124.99 including shipping- but due to the nature of 'the customised service' i.e. as peoples requirements can vary greatly, I usually supply personalised quotes.
