| LEST WE FORGET
The three themes here have a common purpose - that of celebration of Remembrance Day around the world on 11th November. Each zip file containing the individual theme's files also contains a text file giving some history of Remembrance Day [or Armistice Day as it was originally known] as well as a short history of the origins of the universal soldiers' song LILI MARLENE - together with the most commonly accepted English lyrics to this beautiful and haunting melody. Lili Marlene [my version of] is used for the sound files in the themes. |
