11th Grade The Most Intriguing Character in the Book Great Expectations I think that the most intriguing character in the book "Great Expectations" is Estella. I find it weird how someone's life ambitions are simply to hurt other people. In Estella's case, these people are men. She enjoys breaking men's hearts and does not even feel the slightest bit upset about it. It was a game to her which she played very well. What I also find interesting is how drastically she changes as time progresses in the book. She finally comes to know how to love, and finally comes to know how it feels to have your heartbroken. Estella begins as a character the audience typically does not like, but eventually turns into a character who add important points to the book. |
