Past Children's Craft Programs

Note: All programs take place after the midday break for ariston (lunch). Schedule for the month of Boedromion (Attic Calendar) / Hyperberetaios (Macedonian Calendar) [September]

On the 1st day of the New Moon - In honor of the 211th Olympiad we will be reading tales of the founding of the Olympics from Hippias of Elis and other sources. We will make copies of Pallas the Owl from feathers and cloth.

On the 11th day - We will be reading about equine events, such as how Bellerephon rode Pegasus and Phaethon rode the chariot of the Sun. We will be making horses and chariots from cloth.

On the 10th day of the Dying Moon - We will be reading about races, including Atalante's race. We will be making wreaths from olive leaves and twigs.
