The

Classics of Ballet

Lecture Series

Mariette Fisher, an avowed balletomane, has created her Classics of Ballet Lecture Series to share her passion and knowledge of ballet with her audience.

Each Classics of Ballet lecture provides insights and explanations of the ballet story, the choreographers, the composer, and the principal dancers.  Video highlights of selected scenes present world-renowned dancers, breathtaking choreography, extravagant sets and costumes, and glorious music.

The Classics of Ballet Lecture Series includes great ballets such as:  Swan Lake, Giselle, Le Corsaire, Romeo and Juliet, Ivan The Terrible, La Sylphide, Manon, Don Quixote, Mayerling, Spartacus, The Merry Widow, La Bayadere, Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia, Raymonda, and others.

The Classics of Ballet Lecture Series has been offered to Florida International University’s Academy of Lifelong Learning since September 1998, as well as The Classic Residence by Hyatt in Aventura, Florida.

Lectures are available in one or two-hour format.
