| Visit this website every week to find out what we are learning on a weekly basis. Visit the Interesting Language Arts Websites page and the charts page to help with reviewing the concepts that we have learned. Week of November 3 - 7: * We have officially begun Because of Winn Dixie. Boy, are we excited!! * We have written definitions for vocabulary words for Chapters 1 through 5. When we have finished reading those chapters, we will have a vocabulary test and a Comprehension quiz. *After each chapter or two, we will answer questions about the story in our Response Journals. The teacher will comment on our answers in the journal and will usually ask another question which has to be answered, as well. Students must answer in complete, grammatically correct sentences. Words from the story are expected to be spelled correctly. |
