TANGO HEROES OF OURS | |||||||||||||||
Stephanie and Mike of Tango bar, Cambridge. Great Tango teachers and lovely people. Without them, Market Harborough Tango would not exist. Without them the book, "A Passion for Tango" would never have been written. Thank you! We love you to bits | |||||||||||||||

His knowledge of Tango and his grasp of the mechanics, physiology and anatomy of it means that after a series of workshops, though we are totally drained, we have raised our understanding of Tango by a mile, every time he comes to the UK. He comes twice a year and those of us who have been taught by him admire his teaching above all others. ![]() Alex Krebs-An inspirational teacher from Portland, Oregon. His classes are such fun because he is so relaxed and obviously enjoying himself. For us he has taken much of the stuffy seriousness out of Tango and allowed us to play with it. This way, we have grown to be more daring and experimental. He comes to the UK once a year if we are lucky and we wouldn't miss a class if we could help it. He is a very tall man who shows how good posture combats that handicap. Don't ask about the trademark beret. Our guess is that he sleeps in it too! ![]() | Biljana Lipic-Another inspirational teacher who is now based in London. Her teaching, particularly of followers, centres on balance and elegance, without which, Tango is nothing.Because of her strong belief that everyone, no matter
their age or experience can enjoy and have fun dancing, in her
teaching she mainly works towards encouraging conscious
communication, personal expression and freedom of improvisation
through music and the flow of movement. She can be seen in the BBC Ident of the three couples tangoing in the rain ![]() Photograph by Francesca Cesari. |
