The work of the young designer John Galliano is another case in point.  In many ways he has inherited Westwood´s ideas of re-working traditional shapes and materials into something challenging and original.  An obsessive challenging and original. An obsessive researcher,  his fantasia on historical themes. Galliano has a taste for the theaatrically self-conscious and his shows,  worked out in collaboration with the stylist Amanda Grieve's.
