1978 vw transporter model type II, 2 liter, 2,000cc, 4 cylinder. The motor was rebuilt by Jerry's Sandrails two years ago and has 20,000 trouble free miles, I drive between Lubbock and Austin/Houston without any problems. I installed a transmission from my previous bus 6 months ago. The canvas is all new, no tears, sleeps two on top and two on bottom comfortably. One small rust spot, cosmetic only. THe body has 140,000 miles and is in great shape. 70,000 mile tires, 18mpg, great to travel to the mountains and avoid hotels. Fly in and drive it home! |
