The Velvet Underground

Lou Reed John Cale Nico Moe Tucker Sterl Morrison Doug Yule The Sweet Nothings and the True Illusions

They were the band of New York City. The band under Warhol's wings. A band lighter than the Doors, but too dark for the Californian crowd.

Was it because of this?

I've been set free and I've been bound
To the memories of yesterday's clouds
I've been set free and I've been bound

And now I'm set free
I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

I've been blinded but
Now I can see
What in the world has happened to me
The prince of stories who walks right by me

And now I'm set free
I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

I've been set free and I've been bound
Let me tell you people
what I've found
I saw my head laughing
rolling on the ground

And now I'm set free
I'm set free
I'm set free to find a new illusion

This is one of the best pieces of music that I've ever heard and simply not just unequivocal, either.
Or was it about 'The Venus In Furs?'
Or 'I'll Be Your Mirror?' Or maybe just 'Sunday Morning?'
