All-Time Best & Worst Movies Movies are in no particular order and are the opinion of El Hombre. Readers are invited to send in their own Best and Worst Lists which may or may not be posted. So says El Hombre. Best Movies Anchorman Seabiscuit School of Rock Heat (Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino) Men of Honor Tree's Lounge Night Shift (1981) 12 Monkeys Wonder Boys Forrest Gump Office Space Blow Midnight Run Casino Jackie Brown Cat People (1981) The Sixth Sense Frida Dr. Strangelove: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Dr. Strangelove contemplating
repopulation. Worst Movies How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days Beloved - one day El Hombre hopes to meet Oprah, she's a beautiful woman, but when we meet, I'll have to ask her "Oprah. Beloved? What were you thinking?" And she'll probably break down and start sobbing and saying how she and Stedman were having problems and I'll comfort her and say, "I understand Oprah, but really. Beloved?" More sobs, more comfort from El Hombre. The Passion of the Christ Pay It Forward - This could have been good, but Helen Hunt is horrible, as usual. The acting is bad, and the story is worse. But with the right story and writing, maybe the actors could really have believed the motions they were going through. The Pledge Seven The Shipping News Bounce Along Came a Spider - If Columbo were on this case the first thing he would have asked was: why didn't the secret service agents notice the kidnapper's bad skin (he wore a latex mask for 2 years!)? The kidnapper was a teacher at a private school with security all around and it was so obvious he was wearing a disguise. El Hombre could not get over that bad disguise. This whole movie was wearing a bad disguise. In one scene, where the kidnapper calls the FBI investigator, he steals a line directly from the movie "Heat". That made El Hombre angry. Then a phone tag scene all over D.C. was stolen directly from "Die Hard 3". This movie stinks. Planet of the Apes (2001 version) Just Married Gigli Titanic (Leonardo deWho?) Any and all Kevin Costner movies. They all only count as one big bad movie.
