Hargett-a justice of the Peace etc, State of Alabama, Franklin County We Theopilus Skinner, a clergyman residing in the county and state above and Charles Brooks MATLOCK residing in the same hereby certify that we are well acquainted with Robert Tharp that we believe him to be near one hundred years of age that he is reputed and believed in the neighborhood where he resides to have been a solider of the revolution and that we concur in that opinion. Sworn and subscribed the day and year aforesaid Theopilus Skinner Charles Brooks MATLOCK And I George F. Hargett a justice of the peace certifies that it appears to him that Theopilus Skinner who has signed the preceding is a clergyman resident in the state and county and that Charles Brooks MATLOCK is a credible person and their statements are true to the best of their knowledge.
