• Politics: Believes woman need more equality but thinks it's not important unless it affects her and the Guild.
• Personality: Cynical, sarcastic, tough, mistrustful, paranoid, stubborn. Very sensitive and gentle if she lets you see the real her, but she's afraid of getting hurt, so she hides her vulnerable side except from her closest friends.
• Strengths: Self-reliant, trusts her instincts, and very loyal.
• Weaknesses: Views the world very sarcastically and cynically, stubborn to a fault, will never ask for help (proud). Extremely paranoid.
• Combat training: Learned knife fighting out of necessity. Learned street fighting and how to take care of herself when she ran away from home at 13. Was hurt pretty bad in a fight once and was taken under the wing of an ex-Guard. He refined her fighting techniques.
• Horseback riding: Never liked it much until she learned how to coexist with the horses and she now respects and values them. She's moderately skilled and can kill a man with a knife on horseback.
• Appearance: 5 feet, 117 lbs; ash blonde hair cropped short, sparkling green-gray eyes; curvy, not skinny but not overweight; pert small nose and chipmunk cheeks that have dimples when she smiles.

• Other Information: Her mother was an illegitemate daughter of Gawin Ridenow, but the family does not know of Kyla's existence. Her mother died in childbirth. She ran away from an abusive home at 13 and lived on the street. Loren, an ex-guard, bouncer at The Four Moons Inn, found her and brought her under his wing. She trained as his apprentice, and took over his job when he died in a fight. She became a member of the Guild of Renunciates recently and will defend the Guild and her sisters to the death.
