ANXIETY
As a diagnostic category, Anxiety Disorders is quite large. It includes panic attacks, phobias, post-traumatic stress syndrome,
and generalized anxiety.
Even daily, run-of–the-mill anxiety can be as crippling as depression. It can interfere with daily activities as well as the enjoyment of life. It can also cause physical problems. (And, it can be caused by physical problems.)
Anxiety can be of long or short duration.
Its onset can be sudden or slide in more quietly.

While many people don't know they have depression, few fail to recognize anxiety:  clammy hands, dry mouth, pounding heart, knots in the pit of the stomach - these are some of the physical symptoms of anxiety.
Often, but not always, the cause of anxiety is known. Many people are struggling with anxiety just now. The situation in the world, the uncertainty of the future puts tremendous strain on many.
Positive as well as negative events can trigger anxiety. Regardless the cause, regardless the duration,  if you are feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, counseling may be able to help you.
Depending on severity, some are best treated with medicines. Others respond to therapy, and still others are treated with a combination of pharmacological agents and counseling.
