Adam Landseidel
August 11, 1904 - December 12, 1992

Adam Landseidel, 88, of Park Rapids, MN, died on Saturday, December 12, 1992 at Phoenix General Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

Adam was born to Jacob and Elizabeth Landseidel on August 11, 1904 in Ashley, ND, where he was raised and attended school. On March 18, 1929, he was united in marriage to Edna Ruff in Lehr, ND, where they began their life together, where Adam farmed and operated a dray line. In the late 1940's, Adam began Landseidel and Son Inc. which was a highway construction business in Moorhead, Minnesota. Adam and his son Eugene, ran the business until 1977, when Eugene sold and became active at Park Region Aggregate in Park Rapids. In 1970, Adam and Edna moved to Park Rapids, where they resided in Green Acres. They spent their summers in Park Rapids and their wintered in Phoenix, AZ. During his life in the Park Rapids, Adam was an active member of Faith Baptist Church, a member of Headwaters Country Club, where he enjoyed golfing, was an avid outdoorsman, loved to fish, walk and working on his lawn. Adam spent his summers working with his family at Park Region Aggregate, a Branch of Landseidel & Son, which he enjoyed very much.

Survivors include his wife, Edna of Park Rapids; one son, Eugene of Park Rapids, MN; two daughters, Delphy (Duane) Haglund of Edina, MN; Cynthia (Roger) Eberthardt of Park Rapids, MN; two sisters, Lizzie Miller of Lehr, ND; Rose Lahmann of Aberdeen SD; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter-in-law, Gladys Landseidel, three brothers and one sister.

Barbara Hildenbrand Landseidel
1401 W. Holmes, Lansing, Michigan


Age 71, died January 21, 1981. Mrs. Landseidel was born January 2, 1910 in Lehr, N.D. and had been a resident of Lansing for almost 40 years. She was a member of the Colonial Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband, Henry; 3 daughters, Mrs. Delores Yerke of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Genevieve Gee of Dimondale, and Mrs. Sandra Longhurst of Potterville; 6 grandchildren, 4 brothers, Edward and William Hildenbrand both of Grand Ledge, Marvin and Alvin Hildenbrand, both of Lansing, 3 sisters, Emma Dachtler, Amelia Doerr both of Lansing and Helen Radlicki of South Bend, Indiana. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the Colonial Village Baptist Church, 2010 Boston Blvd. with the Rev. Dr. Arthur W. Boymook officiating. Interment will be at Deepdale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Lansing Chapel, Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Visitation Friday will begin at 10 a.m. at the church.

Henry Landseidel

Age 75 died May 4, 1983. Mr. Landseidel was born June 16, 1907 in McIntosh County, North Dakota. he was a member of the Colonial Village Baptist Church and retired from Oldsmobile, June 30, 1969. He is survived by his wife Sarah, 3 daughters, Mrs. Delores Yerke of Grand Ledge, Mrs. Genevieve Gee of Dimondale and Mrs. Sandra Longhurst of Potterville; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Carmen Sorrow and Mrs. Patricia Sorrow both of Lansing; 6 step-sons, Vernon Faust of Oregon, William, Guy, Jack and Jim Faust all of Lansing and Ralph Faust of Leslie; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Adam Landseidel of Arizona, 2 sisters Elizabeth Miller of North Dakota and Rose Lahmann of South Dakota. Funeral Services will be held Monday 11 a.m. at the Colonial Village Baptist Church, 2010 Boston Blvd. with the Rev. Dr. Arthur E. Boymook officiating. Interment will be at Deepdale Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be Dean, David and Vernon Hildenbrand, Ron and Bernie Sorrow and John Gee. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Lansing Chapel Sat. from 7-9 p.m. and Sun. from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friends desiring may make contributions to the Colonial Village Baptist Church.

Rose Landsiedel Lahmann


Aberdeen - The funeral for Rose Lahmann, 84, of the Aberdeen Living Center, will be at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 515 Eighth Ave. N.W. The Rev. Stephen Miller will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, at Aberdeen, with Shriver's Memorial Mortuary, 414 Fifth Ave. N.W., in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

She died Saturday, July 29, 1995, at the center.

Rose Landsiedel was born June 1, 1911, to Jacob and Elisabetha (Reiling) Landsiedel near Ashley, N.D. Following the death of her mother when Rose was 3, her father remarried. She grew up and attended rural school in the Ashley area.

She married Ernest Lahmann on December 8, 1932 at Rosenfeld Baptist Church in Lehr, North Dakota. They lived in Long Lake and Java, and later moved to Aberdeen, where the lived the remainder of their lives. He died in 1955. She had resided at the Aberdeen Living Center since 1991.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and the Sewing Club.

Survivors include one daughter: Mrs. Clarke (RaNaee) Holmes of Bath, one sister, Elizabeth Miller of Wishek, two grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, four brothers and one sister.

Honorary casket bearers will be here grandchildren and great grandchildren Holly Holmes, Kent Solinsky, Shannon Solinsky, April Solinsky, and Luke Solinsky.

Casket bearers will be Duane Mullner and Allen Thornton, both of Aberdeen, Randy Ptacek of Cogswell, N.D., Richard Kuecker of Webster, Marvin Schock of Ashley and Jerauld Holmes of Bath.

Scripture reader will be Sister Helen Jean Washtoak.

Organist will be Sharon Kost, and soloist will be Donna Bertsch. Ushers will be Carrold Wahl and Melvin Loebs.

Elizabeth Landsiedel Miller


Elizabeth Miller, age 93, of Wishek, North Dakota, died September 13, 1996, in the Wishek Community Hospital. Elizabeth was born November 16, 1902 at Tyndall, South Dakota, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Reiling) Landsiedel. She was raised at Tyndall and received her elementary education in Tyndall Schools. As a young woman she moved with the family to a farm home northeast of Ashley, North Dakota. Elizabeth resided there til her marriage to John R. Miller on December 10, 1922 at Ashley, North Dakota. Following their marriage they made their home on a farm 7 miles southeast of Lehr, North Dakota. They lived and farmed there until 1947, when they moved to Lehr. Mr. Miller preceded her in death on June 9, 1971. Elizabeth continued to live in Lehr until moving to the Wishek Nursing Home in the fall of 1987, where she lived since that time. Elizabeth was a member of the Lehr United Methodist Church. She will be remembered as a wonderful seamstress, enjoying quilting, and crocheting. Elizabeth also loved to cook, bake and tend to her garden.

Survivors include: 4 daughters: Mrs. LaRue Miller of Bellevue, Washington; Mrs. Phyllis (Elmer) Hochhalter of Lehr, North Dakota; Mrs. Darlene Miller of Wishek, North Dakota; and Mrs. Violet (Don) Bittner of Fairfield, California; 1 step-daughter, Mrs. Byatta Seefried, of Lodi, California; 19 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, 2 sons, Allen and Leo, 2 step-sons, Isadore and Walter, as well as 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Barbara Hildenbrand Faszer Neff

Barbara Faszer Neff, wife of the late George Neff; loving mother of Jacob and Charles Faszer, both of Canada, John Faszer of Michigan, Fred Faszer of Seattle, Wash., Edwin Faszer, Mrs. John Hildenbrand, Mrs. Gottlieb Treichel, Mrs. Theobald Amann, Mrs. Rueben Liebelt and Mrs. Mollie Priebe, all of Lodi; stepmother of Ted Neff of Watsonville, Charlie, Edwin and Aaron Neff and Mrs. Katie Lauer, all of McCluskey, N.D., sister of Fred Hildenbrand of Lehr, N.D.; 32 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a native of South Russia, aged 82 years.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services Wednesday, May 9, 1951, at 2 p.m. in the Hilborn Adventist Church, Lodi. Rev. E. H. Oswald officiating. Commital at Cherokee Memorial Park. Lodi Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Amelia Landsiedel Zimmerman
Dies in Ellendale, June 19,1978


Mrs. Jacob Zimmerman, 69, formerly of Ashley, passed away June 19 at the Ellendale Nursing Home where she had been making her home for the past eight years.

Funeral services were June 22 at 11 a.m. at the Ashley Baptist Church, with Rev. Allan Gerber officiating.

Amelia Zimmerman, nee Landsiedel, was born, June 18, 1909 northeast of Ashley to Jacob and Elizabeth Reiling Landsiedel. In 1927 she married Jacob G. Zimmerman. They farmed northeast of Ashley until 1950, when they moved to Ashley. They had 10 children.

Survivors are her husband Jacob G. Zimmerman of Ashley, two sons and six daughters: Clarence of Cambridge, Minnesota; Hugo of Bismarck; Mrs. Rolland (Lavern) Lux of Fredonia; Mrs. Herman (Della) Sukut of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Mrs. Myron (Eva) Schlepp of Ashley; Mrs. Kenneth (Maggie) Childs of Live Oak, Florida; Mrs. Earl (Mary) Wagner of Lead, South Dakota; and Mrs. Kenneth (Diana) Bettenhausen of Stockton, California. She is also survived by a daughter-in-law Mrs. Ervin (Martha) Zimmerman of Lodi, California, and two brothers and two sisters: Adam Landseidel or Moorhead, Minnesota, Henry Landseidel of Lansing, Michigan, Lizzie Miller of Lehr; and Rose Lahmann of Aberdeen, South Dakota. Twenty-six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Ervin and one son who died in infancy, and two brothers.

Burial was at Ashley City Cemetery.
