One of the biggest questions being asked about is the sports teams having to travel for their home games.  The biggest reason is the construction being done for the expansion of the school building and athletic fields.  Many people have different opinions about having to travel for home games.
Girls' varsity soccer coach Gary Hamm said that they don't have any other choice but to travel for home games because of the construction being done to the athletic fields.  Basketball coach Dee Ivory says that it is very hard on the teams. The teams don't play on regulation size court, which is a disadvantage to the other team.  Coach Ivory also said that the teams sometimes don't get back to school until late and have very little time afterwards to do their homework, which is essential to the players because if they fall behind in homework, they are unable to play.           Some players also don't like the fact of having to travel to the Cobleskill Field House for home games.  Varsity basketball player, Sarah Guest said that is very annoying.  Jamie Mickle says that when they arrive at the gym, they have at most 10 minutes to practice, and so most of the games don't get started until about 10 minutes after the scheduled start time.
Although traveling is the only way to keep sports in the school curriculum, it is also preventing the teams to have adequate practice time before a game.  There are some people who really don't mind going someplace else to play in a home game.  Myleah Misenheimer said that she really doesn't mind traveling to a different location.
