Dog Fashion Disco played at Saratoga Winners this past Friday night.   The show was amazing.  They combined a high-energy performance, a sound somewhere between Tool and System of a Down, and strange, sometimes repulsive videos playing in the background. Dog Fashion Disco originated in the DC area, and play steadily on the east coast and northeast.  Their sound is amazing, their stage presence is awesome, and the music itself is phenomenal. They took the stage around 10:15-10:30pm and proceeded to rock an audience that had already been wowed by Five Point O, Wasteform, and a personal favorite; the Bruise Bros. Dog Fashion Disco has one released album (Anarchists of Good Taste?  Spitfire Records) and their next album is coming soon.  If you ever get the opportunity, be sure to check them out.
I recently went to see the Vietnam War movie We Were Soldiers. The movie is mainly based on the first battle of the Vietnam War that involved American Soldiers. The main character, Col. Hal Moore, is trying to get his platoon, of 400 men, to survive the three or so days that it takes to defeat the Viet Cong army. In the end the Americans came out the victors. The special effects of this movie were absolutely outstanding. The tracer fire of the enemy army almost looked like it was real ammunition. The movie has several graphic parts/scenes, but it was a very well done movie. I would recommend it to anyone who is a foreign war vet or a war movie fanatic. I wouldn't recommend it for children because of some mild to rough language and some graphic scenes. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 10, because of the superior acting skills and special effects.  We were Soldiers, starring Mel Gibson, Barry Pepper, Greg Kinnear, Sam Elliott, and Chris Klein
Once Upon a Mattress turned out to be a pretty good. It was showed 3 times and every time they had a pretty good turn out. Myleah Misenhimer played the tomboy princess who was tested to become the prince's wife played by Bob Kerley. Joanne Pendergast played the Queen who was the wife of the king played by Chris Malark and he couldn?t talk throughout the whole play till then end because he had a spell cast. Myleah did all the choreography in the play and she did a great job. All the dancing was very good and coordinated; Bob, Joanne, Jordan, and Myleah all did a great job acting and delivering there lines along with everyone else that was in it. It was a nice change to have Chris Malark for the first time not talk throughout the whole play; he did a good job acting making his part very funny for the audience. Mrs. Bromley also did a great job directing the whole thing.
