Sonic the Hedgehog: He's the blue hedgehog with the need for speed and an attitude that never quits. Known as the "Fastest Thing Alive", Sonic is capable of running faster than the speed of sound. Because of this, a pair of specially made sneakers were invented by his uncle, Sir Charles Hedgehog (Uncle Chuck), to withstand the amount of heat given off from the friction Sonic's running creates. Normal sneakers melted under the amount of heat given off by his running. Sonic also has the unique ability to use Power Rings, an invention of Sir Charles Hedgehog that enables him to double his speed and strength while holding one. This ability has come in useful many times in the Freedom Fighters' quest to rid Mobius of Robotnik and Snively. Sonic is a born athlete and has a strong sense of justice. He also has a very good friendship with the two-tailed fox, Miles "Tails" Prower. |
Sally Acorn: A natural born leader, Sally leads the Freedom Fighters in their quest to rid Mobius of Robotnik and Snively. She is a fair athlete and quite agile. She is also one of the smartest of the Freedom Fighters, able to think up solutions to problems that arise very quickly. She also carries a small, hand-held computer unit known as Nicole, which is able to interface with almost any computer system in existence and give the Freedom Fighters information on almost anything and everything they need. |
Bunnie Rabbot: Half Roboticized, Bunnie has robotic legs and a robotic left arm. She is the lady-in-waiting for Princess Sally Acorn, and is also her best friend. While not much is known about her, we do know that Bunnie was one of the very first animals to fall victim to the Roboticizer. But luckily for her, she was saved at the last moment by Sonic. She is skilled in the Martial Arts and is very good at hand-to-hand combat. Being part robot has had its advantages for Bunnie, as her left arm is super strong, allowing her to lift objects that would take many people to even budge. Her legs also extend, giving her the ability to reach high objects with ease. But despite these many advantages, Bunnie still longs for the day when she will be completely animal again. |
Antoine: There is only two words to describe Antoine, extreme cowardice. While he claims to be a brave Royal Guard, he has never shown that to be a fact. He will always try to convince the others to leave at the slightest hint of danger. He is more of a burden on missions than he is help, and often will get into trouble without even trying. There have been a few occasions where he has helped out, such as right after Sonic and him destroyed the Shedder robot for the second time (he found the Power Ring he had "given Robotnik" inside the Sonic Radar machine, allowing them to escape). And due to his heavy French accent, he is sometimes hard to understand, but Rotor always corrects his speech errors (an example is when Antoine referred to Sonic as a "fuel", which Rotor identified as meaning a "fool". |
Rotor Walrus: Rotor is a genius when it comes to mechanics. He has built more gadgets and gizmos than he can keep track of, even though most don't really work the right way. Not really athletic at anything (except swimming) or much of a fighter, Rotor tends to stay behind during missions, or only help out with breaking computer passwords or codes. His inventions have come in handy at times, like his Super Magnet that guided the Sky Spy into the Great Unknown, out of harms way. |
Miles "Tails" Prower: Orphaned from an early age, Miles never knew who his real parents were. Born with two tails, Miles was always considered an outcast by others. Then he met Sonic and his whole life changed. Now he is the youngest member of the Freedom Fighters and Sonic's best friend. Sonic gave him the nickname "Tails", which became the name he went by. Tails has the unique ability to fly by whirling his double tails like a helicopter rotor, propelling him into the air. While the least experienced of the Freedom Fighters, Tails played a key role in protecting the second Deep Power Stone from Robotnik by pretending to destroy the real one, which in fact, was a fake. |

Dulcy: One of the last remaining dragons on Mobius, Dulcy escaped the Roboticization process with the help of her mother, who let herself be captured to allow Dulcy to escape. Now she lives with the Freedom Fighters, often being their air transportation. Being a dragon, she has the ability to breath fire and ice. Unfortunately, she has a slight problem when it comes to landing. Since she never learned to land before her mother's capture, she always crashes to the ground after power diving almost straight down. While it does stun her for a few seconds, her armor-like hide protects her from the falls. |

Sir Charles Hedgehog (Uncle Chuck): Sir Charles Hedgehog is the only relative of Sonic's that we know about. A gifted scientist, Sir Charles invented many machines that were intended for good use. The Roboticizer was invented by him to be a limb replacement machine that would turn a damaged limb into a working robotic limb. Unfortunately, if a person became totally Roboticized, they would lose all control over their bodies and their minds would become trapped without control. Because of this, the project was abandoned. But Warlord Julian stole the machine. When Julian overthrew King Acorn from the Thrown and became Robotnik, he used the Roboticizer on Sir Charles himself, turning him into a mindless slave to Robotnik. Sir Charles work for Robotnik for several years before regaining his free will for a short time with the help of a Power Ring. He helped Sonic and Bunnie take over a Dinobot and using it to keep a massive energy crystal from falling into Robotnik's hands before he once again lost his free will. He later regained it permanently with the help of Sonic and now works as a spy against Robotnik, his robot form allowing him to move about freely in Robotropolis. |

Dr. Robotnik: Also known as Warlord Julian, Robotnik staged a coup against King Acorn, sending him to a dimension known as the Void, where the wizard Nagus was imprisoned by Robotnik years before. Stealing Sir Charles Hedgehog's Roboticizer, he began turning the citizens of Mobius into his mindless slaves. He turned the beautiful Mobotropolis into Robotropolis, a polluted city with nothing but factories. But he has not fully take control of Mobius. Small bands of Freedom Fighters live in various locations around Mobius, thwarting his plans constantly. But there is only one Freedom Fighter that Robotnik sees as a threat to his rule, Sonic the Hedgehog. |
Snively: Not much is know about Snively before he became Robotnik's lackey except that he is the nephew of Robotnik. He is constantly running about the Command Center performing tasks left and right. He knows slightly more about machines than Robotnik, but never lets on that he is smarter than him. Robotnik did let Snively try to destroy Sonic one time. Using Sonic's inflated ego, he announced a Speed Contest that would tell who was the fastest thing on Mobius. Sonic couldn't resist and showed up to face off against the Speedbot, a cheetah-like robot that was almost as fast as Sonic. Though the Speedbot did win the race, it was only because Sonic dropped out to help in the destruction of the back-up generator. |
