Explorer Post 911 is a program for youth interested in the emergency medical services. We are based out of Tukwila, Washington. Post 911 is sponsored by American Medical Response (AMR) and the Boy Scouts of America. Explorers are youth between the ages of 14 to 21 who would like to learn more about EMS. Post 911 provides volunteer first aid and medical care at many local events.
Because of recent allegations/incidences of abuse occurring in other explorer posts (not ours), AMR of King Co. has decided that the social contact between AMR employees and youth that occurs in an Explorer program is too risky, and Post 911 has been shut down.
