Snowy Mountains (Part 2) -
Mount Kosciuszko Mount Kosciuszko is the highest mountain in the Australian continent at 2282 metres above sea level. The summit can be reached by a trek which starts at a chairlift station on top of the alpine resort of Thredbo. |

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve This beautiful nature reserve is located at the south-western outskirt of Canberra and can be reached by a one hour drive from the city area. There is a lot of wildlife in the nature reserve, including many species of birds and native Australian animals. |

Canberra Canberra is the capital city of Australia and it is located somewhere in-between the cities of Sydney and Melbourne. Canberra is a well organized city with many parks scattered throughout, and Lake Burley Griffins is located in the middle of the city. |
I took a lot of photographs during my first trip to Australia in 1996. The galleries below contain photographs taken from the various Australian States. I have excluded photographs of big cities e.g. Sydney as you would have seen them somewhere by now.

Queensland is known as the Sunshine State due to it's nice and sunny weather. Nice place with sub tropical rainforest, great beaches, lots of islands and not forgetting the Great Barrier Reef. |
