What is Job's Daughters?
Job's Daughters is an organization of young women who are between the ages of 10 and 20 and who are related to a Master Mason.   Job's Daughters International has over 20,000 members in Canada, Australia, the Philippines, Brazil and the United States. Members have the opportunity to travel and meet girls from other lands.

Members of Job's Daughters participate in Bethel meetings where they learn public speaking, leadership skills, organization, respect for adults and reverance for sacred things.  Meetings follow a long tradition of order. The Officers wear traditional Grecian robes, symbols of democracy and equality, provided by the Bethel. Meetings are held twice a month. Programs are planned and conducted by the members with the help of adult volunteers.  By working closely together, we make new friends that will last a lifetime.

The experience you get as a member of Job's Daughters helps now and in the future. Job's Daughters learn how to work together to achieve their goals, how to raise money and spend it wisely, how to speak to an audience, the fundamentals of parliamentary procedure and how important community service is to everyone.

Activities include trips, softball, an annual Jamboree, picnics, dances, slumber parties and participation in parades.  You name it and we'll do it - enhancing friendships and building a strong team along the way.

We also are mindful of our civic responsibilties.  Job's Daughters participate in a myriad of community activities and philanthropic projects. Most notable is the Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment (HIKE).  Money raised for this project helps provide hearing assistance devices for children.  Our fundraisers not only provide for our own activities, but they also teach us to be a benevolent force in our everyday lives.

Scholarships are offered on state-wide and international levels.  We hope that the skills learned in Job's Daughters translate well to higher education and adult life.

Job's Daughters offers the all the qualities that young women need and want -  fun, friendship, helping others, confidence in ourselves and the chance to learn organizational and leadership skills.

Bethel #6 meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at the Lake Masonic Center, 1235 E Howard Ave, Milwaukee, WI  53207.
