Frank Mross 2000
Frank, the son of Joe and Annabel Mross, was born on March 7, 1946 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas. He graduated from Weiner High School in 1964. Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and served for four years. He attended and graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 1977 with a degree in Art and History. He traveled and had several jobs before he met his wife, Tanya.

Frank taught Art and History at Weiner High School for 20 years. He was involved with many activities in the community including the Arkansas Rice Festival. He was also well-known for his artistic talent and singing. He sang at weddings and funerals and community events such as the Arkansas Rice Festival. It was a tradition at Weiner High School for him to sing the National Anthem, acapella, on the first day of school each year. He had a great love for children and they all loved him.

Frank was not only an educator, artist and singer, he was a school bus driver, Sunday school teacher and church song leader. He was a husband to Tanya, father to Lindsey and brother to Sue, Ann and Terry.

Frank was diagnosed with
METASTATIC PANCREATIC CANCER January 2001 and died August 18, 2001. He battled the cancer valiantly and placed his faith in Jesus Christ. His faith only grew stronger as his body grew weaker. He wanted to get well so he could stay on this earth and reach more kids for Christ, but apparently God had other plans for him in Heaven.

He will always be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him, and his influence on the many lives he touched will continue for many years.
