October 2. Launching of New "News" Page

In preparation for, and in conjunction with their up and coming promotional campaign, Mellow Yellow launchs an additional page to their web-site entitled "What's Happening." This page will give our fans a better look at what we're doing when we're not onstage as well as posting any newsworthy events other than concert dates. This new tool will keep everyone informed of where we are while at the same time giving a written account of where we've been and where we are headed.

October 3. Photo Shoot
Mellow Yellow went into the photo studio tonight to have new promotional pictures taken. Jack Cook at Black Creek Studio did a fantastic job and we had a lot of fun. We are waiting on the pics with anticipation. Choosing among them is going to be hard to do.

October 4. New Banner
Mellow Yellow had a new banner made by Mr. Sign of Summerville that is going to be instrumental in keeping the name of the group in our fans minds and getting our name out there among the masses.

October 15. We've chosen the pictures.
After much deliberation, Lynne, Herbie, and James chose 4 of the pictures to complete their  promotional package. Click here to check out
Black Creek Studios for quality photo services.

October 17. Christening the stage.
Tonight, Mellow Yellow played on the virgin stage of The Map Room, a club set to open on the 27th of this month. Although a private birthday party, quite a few people were there for the turnout and fun was had by all.

October 19. Oops.
John of Penachio's Seafood and Italian goofed and double booked for tonight. We lost out to the other act. Got to expect that sort of thing in this business. Maybe next time.

October 21. Continued promotion
In an effort to gain more recognition of the name and to draw more people to the venue, Mellow Yellow decided to "paper" the town. James posted flyers up and down Rivers Ave. advertising our upcoming gig at Sunset Lounge.

October 25th. Oops again
Our show at Sunset lounge was canceled too. Our apologies to anyone who came expecting to hear us. It may come to the point where we have to submit some sort of contract. We really don't want to do that. It takes all the fun out of it.

October 27th. Got 'em
We got our new promo pictures today. they look absolutely fantabulous. Plans are under way to offer autographed photos to our fans. Our thanks to Jack Cook of Black Creek Studios. He and friend Barry sat in with us at Stone Creek Grill tonight. Got to say that not only is Jack a versatile photographer, he ain't half bad on keyboard or mandolin either. Both Jack and Barry are excellent musicians and we had a blast.

November 9th. The Map Room is open
The Map Room, West Ashley's newest hot spot is now open for business and we'll be spending a lot of time playing there.

November 17th. It happened again
Through miscommunication and just plain poor management on our part, we were bumped again. That decides it for us. We have to put in place some sort of written and signed document to keep this from happening again. We're wasting time advertising and then not playing as advertised. This is bad business for us.
On a good note, we spoke to David Nicole of the United Way and are now booked for their Gala Event Fund Raiser on February 21st. This will be a big feather in our cap promotionally. Also spoke to Tamara at the YMCA who is in charge of the acts for the upcoming Azalea Festival. Looks good for us.

November 27. Our loss.
It is with regret that we say goodbye to our violin player James Floyd. Personal differences led to the split and we wish James well with any future endeavors.

December 13. Got it.
We purchased a small cargo trailer to haul our equipment in. After an uneventful three day road-trip to Mississippi to pick it up, we are now very mobile. It looks a little rough, but it handles great

Yellow, that is.
