The Holden VN/VP Commodore range was produced between Sept 1988 and Jul 1993, they used the 1227808 ECM throughout these years, essentially a 1227165 minus the SXR I.C, as a result they only have 160 baud serial comms (which for a 93 model car is pretty poor!). The 5.0L V8 engine is Holden's own design, the 3.8L V6 is the Buick derivative, both are MAP based PFI. Auto trans is the TH700R4.
Program I.D Descriptions:

$DB = Seperate closed loop idle timer, Torque management spark added, for
GrpA V8 & HSV's.
$FB = Block learn mods, DFCO mods, Driveline spark added (Late VP V6 &
V8).
$03 = LPG functions (V6 Only).
